25/11/10 – MTM applauds BAE Systems flying high at CorpComms Awards 2010
Wrapping up another busy awards season, MTM Communications Skills Training was delighted to join a wealth of fellow communications professionals last night to celebrate fresh excellence in the field of corporate communications.
The Financial and Business Media Relations award, sponsored by MTM Communications Skills Training, was presented by MTM MD Warwick Partington MCIPR to BAE Systems for their ‘A Breath of Fresh Air’ campaign.
BAE Systems’s air treatment system Air Manager has the power to transform the breathable quality of cabin air while flying, while keeping onboard air ‘clean’ by using ozone to kill airborne viruses. The ‘A Breath of Fresh Air’ campaign was designed to promote and maximise media coverage for the product, while understanding the potential for ’scare’ stories.
Warwick Partington said; “BAE Systems planned their media strategy successfully to achieve media ‘buy in’ from their target publications, and were rewarded with over 100 published articles including a double page spread in their key target The Economist. Integral to the success of this strategy was the team of BAE Systems spokespeople who, through thorough briefing and training, were able to communicate the campaign’s key messages with clarity and consistency throughout the media roll-out.”
Since the launch of BAE Systems’s Air Manager product, more than 20 airlines have asked for further information and operational trials are already underway.
Warwick Partington commented: “It’s a clean-cut case – investing in communications pays dividends!”
20/10/10 – Nick Clegg scoops PR industry Communicator of the Year award
MTM Communications Skills Training and guests joined over 1,000 other communications professionals in London last night for the eagerly anticipated PRWeek Awards 2010.
The Awards recognise the achievements of individuals and teams working independently, in agency and in-house, across all sectors, and involved in all aspects of communication, commending excellence in the field of PR.
This year, the Communicator of the Year award, sponsored by MTM Communications Skills Training, was awarded to Nick Clegg, Leader of the Liberal Democrats.
The judging panel’s selection cited a number of Mr Clegg’s communications successes, not least his widely-commended televised performances during the general election inaugural leaders’ debates.
Danny Rogers, Editor of PRWeek, said; “Clegg’s comms prowess won over viewers and ultimately led him to Downing Street”.
Warwick Partington MCIPR, MD of MTM Communications Skills Training presented the award on the night to Lena Pietsch, Deputy Director of Communications at 10 Downing Street and Jonny Oates, Nick Clegg’s Chief of Staff.
17/06/10 - MTM congratulates Bray Leino on CIPR Excellence Awards win
Last night, MTM Communications Skills Training attended the CIPR’s sparkling 25th Excellence Awards cermony in London, as returning sponsor for the Broadcast category.
MTM trainer John Bates MCIPR took to the stage to announce the winner from the five-strong field of short-listed finalists, and was delighted to present the award to Bray Leino for their imaginative and entertaining ’2009: A Cheese Odyssey’ promotional campaign on behalf of West Country Farmhouse Cheesemakers.
Warwick Partington, MD of MTM Communications Skills Training said; “TV and radio offer boundless opportunities for creative promotional campaigns, combined with access to vast and diverse audiences. Competition to get noticed though is high, and hitting the right notes with target audiences doesn’t come about by accident. Bray Leino’s Cheese Odyssey campaign successfully combined an off-the-wall creative concept with careful planning and meticulous implementation, to deliver a campaign that truly stood out from the crowd.”
The Broadcast award recognises the PR campaign which has most effectively used broadcast media to reach target audiences and achieve objectives.
